Education is key weapon of life and shield for young girls. At HOPDEV we support children, especially girls and teen mothers, to return to school, stay at school, and reach their full potential.
Who are we?
HOPDEV is a grassroots, self-led organization for refugee women and girls from diverse backgrounds, including those who live with disabilities, HIV/AIDS, and have no income. It was established in 2014 by a group of women and girls who are survivors of civil wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, and Ethiopia. They have experienced various forms of gender-based violence and abuse in their families and communities.
