We Inspire & Accelerate Women’s economic empowerment

We believe by order to put lasting change, vulnerable women need the skills and resources to build self-confidence, understand their rights, against discriminatory and Gender justice for them to earn an income, gain the respect of their family and community. Over the past years. Through this program, the most vulnerable women learn economic skills side by side in a way that complement each other.

We Advance Girls’ Education

Adolescent girls living in Dzaleka Camp and surrounding villages are facing multiple barriers that prevent them from enjoying their rights and realising their full potential. In Dzaleka, refugees are not allowed to work or to move outside the Camp, resulting in poverty that often means girls are unable to go to school. Most of families cannot afford the costs of scholastic materials including school uniforms, books, bags, shoes, pens, pencils, etc. They prioritize essential needs such as food security and shelter, as well as sending boys to school, over girls’ education.

We Enhance Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation

The Hope of refugee women against poverty for the social wellbeing (HOPDEV) is self- led organization and non-profit NGO working with the marginalized and vulnerable people in Dzaleka Camp and surrounding , especially women and girls and children. We focus on food security thrive in the agriculture such as maize seeds, Potato, pumpkins, beans, housing/ shelter,  nutrition and income generation; rights awareness and leaderships education; water, hygiene and sanitation, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS; environmental protection and conservation and promoting access to equality education.
