Who are we?

Home / about

HOPDEV is a self-led grassroots organization that aims to support refugee women and girls from diverse backgrounds. This includes women living with disabilities, HIV/AIDS, and no income. The organization was founded in 2014 by a group of women and girls who were survivors of various civil wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, and Ethiopia. These women and girls had experienced different forms of gender-based violence and abuse in their families and communities.
